Shore Cultural Centre New to You sale

This one of a kind sale is new to the Shore Cultural Centre. The Creative Creations Papercrafts New to You sale is in its eighth year, but the first year at Shore. Our sale will be held Aug. 13 from 10 a.m. til 3 p.m. Shore Cultural Centre is located at 291 East 222nd Street.

This sale is a great way for you to rid your craft room of those items you no longer use. Our tastes change and items that you loved five years ago you may no longer use; someone else would love to own them! If this sounds like you, sign up to be a vendor at our sale. For a mere $18, you an eight-foot table and chair in our indoor sale in the Community Room at the Shore Cultural Centre. (The room is located just inside the front doors of the front parking lot.)

One question I always get is, "how do I price my items?" The best answer I can give you, is price them to sell, which is usually at least fifty percent off retail. The lower the price the better those items will sell. You're not using them anyway, right? I price most of my rubber stamps at $1 and $2 dollars, and sets between $5 and $10.

As a shopper, this is a crafters dream come true! You'll find terrific deals on everything from ink to paper to yarn, to fabric, to stitchery kits to stamps to embellishments. You won't want to miss this sale!

Set up for sellers will begin at 8 a.m.; all vendors must be set up by 10 a.m., which is when our sale opens. We will have a cafe set up in our classroom at Creative Creations, room 155 of the Shore Cultural Centre, where we will have snacks, beverages and coffee, and Peg's famous chicken salad sandwiches. In addition we'll have a terrific sale at Creative Creations.

Please spread the word to all of your crafty friends; word of mouth will make this sale a success! Also consider having a table if you are a home party demonstrator. In the past we've had Pampered Chef, Silpada, Tastefully Simple and other crafters with handmade jewelry, paper goods and home items.
