Euclid Historical Society is Always Looking for Unique Donations

Euclid Historical Society Trustee, Tom Pappas, displaying the B&B Appliance sign recently salvaged by Tom Lang and Councilwoman Laura Gorshe

Remember the B&B Appliance that did business on the South Marginal in Euclid for 50 years?  Euclid Historical Society has recently acquired one of the old signs and is excited to add this piece of local Americana to its collection.

Euclid Historical Society has around 4,500 artifacts, but is always looking to acquire unique items that have a distinct historical connection to Euclid - be they related to a local business, our government, the Euclid schools or something from everyday life.

Due to limitations such as storage space and the expenses associated with protecting certain types of items, the Society cannot keep everything that is offered.  Nevertheless, feel free to contact the museum if you have an item that you think might be of interest. If EHS can’t accept it, perhaps a curator will be able to refer you to someone who will.

Examples of items the museum would be thrilled to have include products made by local businesses, especially if rare, such as a candelabra made by Chase Brass.  Also of particular interest would be a uniform worn by a local Vietnam vet to augment the museum’s collection of military uniforms.

The museum, located at 21129 North Street, is open to the public on Tuesdays from 1 - 4 pm.   The phone number is (216) 289-8577.
