Kiddie City Opens Parent Resource Room to Families

Kiddie City's Parent Resource Room is ready for our parents and families.

Kiddie City Childcare Community, located at 280 East 206th St., has finally realized its dream of opening a "free" Parent Resource Room to its families at the local daycare center.  "Parents used to congregate in the parking lot at pick-up and drop-off times to network, chat and share stories", states Jennifer Boger, Director of Kiddie City.  Co-founder Sherrie Zagorc envisioned a place where parents could safely gather to chat and exchange information and ideas.  The new resource center is located in the East Wing of Kiddie City in Room 112. The resource room is supported fully by donations from the community.

The spacious room offers a wide variety of resources, including free "new and gently used" clothing, shoes, and coats, ranging in sizes from Infants through Adult.  There is also vast resource and information bulletin board for community services and agencies.  The room is also large enough to host upcoming monthly "Chat and Chew" sessions, where guest speakers from the community will give informative presentations on services.  Kiddie City plans to host speakers from a variety of social support groups and community resource agencies.

Kiddie City is currently accepting donations for new and gently used clothing, shoes, coats, toys, children's books, and any other household items.  For more information, please contact Jennifer Boger, Director, at 216-481-9044.

I am a staff member of Kiddie City Childcare Community. I am currently in the role of Curriculum & Instruction Consultant. I also manage KC Facebook page and other outreach/publicity. I would like to engage/involve the community more in what Kiddie City is doing and what we have to offer!
