SUMMER LEARN -TO-SWIM 
(ALL AGES & ABILITIES)

The City of Euclid Recreation Department offers affordable American Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety Lessons for all ages and abilities. Free Swim Skill Assessments are available upon request. All Lessons are taught by American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors and Lifeguards. All lessons are held at Ralph V. Hill Memorial Pool. In the event of inclement weather, lessons will not be canceled; an indoor Safety Day will be held in C.E. Orr Arena. No make-up lessons are offered.

The Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety program teaches people of all ages and varying abilities to swim and be safe in, on and around water. The courses take an inclusive approach that emphasizes skill development in conjunction with water safety and drowning prevention education. Highlights of the Red Cross Swimming and Water Safty program include an emphasis on water safety and drowning prevention as the basis of swimming and water recreation and distribution of skills throughout the swim instruction program to optimize skills acquisition so that participants can achieve success at regular intervals.

The City of Euclid Red Cross Learn-to-Swim Program includes the following levels:

  • Preschool Aquatics: For children ages 3-4; teach safe behaviors in, on and around the water, develop swimming readiness, engage in water exploration activities with the objective of having fun and becoming comfortable in, on and around the water, and promote the developmentally appropriate learning of fundament water safety and aquatic skills by young children.
  • Level 1: Introduction to Water Skills
  • Level 2: Fundamental Aquatic Skills
  • Level 3: Stroke Development
  • Level 4: Stroke Improvement
  • Level 5: Stroke Refinement *Level 6: Swimming and Skill Proficiency
  • Adult Aquatics: For beginner swimmers ages 13 and older

SUMMER TENNIS LESSONS (AGES 5-13)

The clinic will focus on health and fitness along with teaching the rules and fundamentals of tennis.

SUNSHINE YOGA!

Christine McIntosh is a Euclid resident and received her 200-hour Hatha Yoga Certification in 2017 at Namaste Yoga Studio in Northfield, Ohio. She is inspired by yoga philosophy, energy work, our collective consciousness and how humankind connects to nature and self. Uniting breath and movement, Christine will lead an integrative, all levels yoga practice that combines meditation, breath work, and asana to open energy pathways leaving you rejuvenated and ready for the day ahead. Put intention in your action and join us monthly!

TOUCH-A-TRUCK

Various service vehicles from the City of Euclid will be on hand for children of all ages to experience up close. From police and fire vehicles to tractors and even a Zamboni, learn about each vehicle with hands-on interaction!

TACKLE FOOTBALL (AGES 7-11) 

Starts Early July 

Residents $75 | Non-Residents $100

We are members of the North Coast Youth Football Conference. You will be required to provide a State of Ohio ID card and complete a physical before being allowed to practice. 

CHEERLEADING (AGES 6-12)

Starts Early July 

Residents $75 | Non-Residents $100

Cheer on our tackle football team! Practices are held weekdays evenings and the season end s in mid-October. You will be required to provide a State of Ohio ID card and complete a physical before being allowed to practice.
