Undefeated, and It Feels So Good

Loud cheers and screams erupted from Memorial Pool on Saturday, July 20th, 2019 when the coaches for the Euclid Panther Swim Team announced they had won their final home dual meet.  This win solidified an undefeated season, the first for the Panther Swim Team in ten years! After this exciting news, the Panthers celebrated by quickly throwing the entire coaching staff into the pool.

The Euclid Panthers, members of the Suburban Swim League, had a fun 2019 season hosting three home meets, and traveling to three away meets.  Coach Bryan Schneider stated “this was a phenomenal season! Four years ago, when I took over as head coach we lost every meet. Ever so slowly we have been knocking on the door of winning, especially over the last two years, losing meets by only a few races.  But this year everything finally clicked, the swimmers rallied together and were able to walk away undefeated all season long.”

The Panthers roster is sitting at nearly ninety swimmers.  Four years ago when Byan took over there were less than sixty swimmers on the team.  “Swimming is becoming a popular sport again in the city of Euclid, the future is bright for the Panthers, especially as we continue to grow” shared Byan.

The Euclid Panthers will finish their postseason at  Willoughby and Wickliffe pools Saturday, July 27th, 2019 and Sunday, July 28th, 2019  at the Suburban Swim League Championships.
