Call for Artists – Babbitt Road Mural Project

Another community painted mural is coming to Euclid! A ‘call for artists’ is currently hosted with Arts Cleveland at https://mycreativecompass.org/

Keep Euclid Beautiful, a committee of the City of Euclid, was recently awarded a grant from Sherwin Williams through Keep Ohio Beautiful to paint a mural on the east retaining wall of the CSX railroad bridge on Babbitt Road near the new Amazon Fulfillment Center.

This is the same grant that helped make “Expansive Greetings” – the community painted octopus mural - happen in downtown Euclid in 2018. Keep Euclid Beautiful is on a mission to “do beautiful things” in Euclid, including litter education and prevention and enhancing our city with public art.

This year, the blank canvas is much larger – up to 8,500 SF of wall could be painted! A ‘call for artists’ is currently hosted with Arts Cleveland at https://mycreativecompass.org/. Please share the opportunity and stay tuned to Keep Euclid Beautiful’s Facebook page for information throughout the summer on how any and every community member can participate. We look forward to announcing a small, socially distanced art event to coincide with the painting of this exciting project in September 2020.
